Over the past few seasons, Billy Dunn had established himself as a rising star in the DIRTcar Big Block division. In 2013, Dunn took that to a whole new level, winning several races, and contended for championships along the way. On Friday nights, Dunn raced a 358 Modified a Mohawk International Raceway driving for Laurent Ladouceur, while Saturday nights were spent at Canandaigua Motorsports Park. Dunn also followed the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series in 2013, posting some fantastic results along the way.
With 11 feature wins in 49 starts this season, Dunn had the best year of his career so far. One of those wins just happened to be the Syracuse 200 at Super DIRT Week, the biggest win of his career by far. Dunn won the Mohawk International Raceway track title and the Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” 358 Modified Series championship. Three of Billy’s wins came at Canandaigua Motorsports Park where the championship battle came right down to the final few laps of the race. Dunn finished second overall at Canandaigua in the championship battle.
Dunn also had some great success travelling to different track in the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series. He finished the season a career best third overall in the standings with the help of back to back second place finishes at Albany-Saratoga Speedway and Autodrome Drummond in July, and a solid third place result at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan in August. The biggest moment of the season however was Sunday, October 9th at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse as Dunn fulfilled a lifelong dream by winning the 42nd annual Super DIRT Week main event.
“We have a lot to be thankful for this year”, says Dunn. “Thanksgiving holiday is upon us, and we certainly are thankful to all the people that have helped us out this year including our sponsors, crewmembers, family, friends and fans”.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season. He would also like to thank Laurent Ladouceur and the Mr. Radiator Race team for the opportunity to race their 358 Modified at Mohawk Raceway on Friday nights.

Billy Dunn Continues to Shine After DIRT Week Success; Scores Top Ten Finishes in 358 Modified and Big Block Modified Events at Brockville
Fresh of the biggest victory of his career last weekend in the NAPA 200 at Syracuse, Billy Dunn returned to action this weekend at Brockville Speedway. On Saturday night he was back in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car that he drove to the 2012 and 2013 track championship at Mohawk International Raceway and Sunday he was in his familiar Number One Speed sponsored car for the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series race.
Dunn started the day off with the usual qualifying heat races, and Dunn finished third, earning a spot in the redraw for a top 12 starting spot in the 100 lap main event. By luck of the draw, Dunn selected position number one, and started the race from the inside of the front row. Billy was in command of the race early, and looked poised for another big win, but his car drifted high over the banking on lap 67 as the tires began to lose grip, losing several positions in the process. Despite falling outside the top ten briefly, Dunn rebounded for a solid third place finish.
On Sunday, it was the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series race at Brockville Speedway. Dunn finished second in his heat race, and made the redraw once again for a top 12 starting spot in the 100 lap main event. Billy would start from the 11th starting spot. Passing was at a premium throughout the race, and Dunn would cross the finish line in eighth place.
There are still a couple more events on the schedule for Billy Dunn. He will be at Orange County Speedway in Middletown, New York for Eastern States Weekend this coming weekend, followed by the World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on November 7-9th for the 2013 season finale.

Billy Dunn’s Syracuse Dream Comes True With Super DIRT Week Victory on Sunday at the New York State Fairgrounds
A lifelong dream was accomplished this weekend for Billy Dunn, as the 29 year old was the first to cross the finish line on Sunday to conclude the 42nd annual Super DIRT Week in the Napa 200. The win was by far the biggest of his young career in Big Block Modified Racing. Dunn has had his best year to date, and the $50000 victory on Sunday was his first career Super DIRTcar Series win.
The entire weekend was a roller coaster ride for Dunn and his Number One Speed race team. They had been searching for consistent speed all weekend in the Big Block car, while the Small Block ride was fast all weekend long.
After rolling through tech inspection with both cars on Tuesday, Dunn was ready for Super DIRT Week XLII. They were hoping to hit the track Wednesday for practice, but that was cancelled while track workers continued to prepare the racing surface. The first on track session came on Thursday for both the Big Block Modified and the 358 Modified, leading up to time trials later that day. Dunn posted the 25th fastest speed in time trials for the Napa 200, leaving the team searching for more speed over the next couple days. In the 358 Modified, Dunn was 10th fastest overall in the time trial session, and was looking to tweak the car in practice for Friday night’s qualifying heat races.
After more practice on Friday, Dunn hit the track under the lights on Friday night for 20 lap qualifying heats with both cars. Billy started 13th in his qualifier, and charged through the field to post a solid top five finish, and would earn the 16th place starting position for Sunday’s NAPA 200. In the 358 Modified qualifier, Dunn started from the fifth position and picked up one spot to finish 4th, and would start the Salute to the Troops 150 on Saturday from the 11th starting position.
The Number One Speed team was very confident going into Saturday’s 150 lap main event. They had a fast car, and a good strategy planned out for the race. By lap five of the event, Dunn had worked his way forward, and was inside the top five, and would soon find his way to second place as the first caution was displayed on lap 22, as Dunn and several others made their way to pit road to top off for fuel in hopes of making it the rest of the distance. Other teams had different pit strategies in place, with many cars waiting until much later in the race to hit pit road. Dunn was back inside the top ten by lap 35, and continued to move forward as the race progressed. As pit stops cycled through for most teams after a lap 42 caution, Dunn was up to fourth place, while the top two had yet to make a pit stop. By the halfway point at lap 75, all teams had been to pit road, and Dunn was in third place. The leader of the race had a mechanical failure at lap 100, moving Dunn to second place as he began to mount a challenge for the race lead with 50 laps remaining. For several laps, Dunn was trying every possible lane to take the lead, often getting alongside the leader but unable to complete the pass. At lap 118, Dunn finally grabbed the top spot and appeared to be well on his way to victory. As they took the white flag on lap 149, Dunn’s car sputtered going into turn one, and a shot at the win slipped away as the fuel cell ran dry.
“It was a heartbreaker,” said a disappointed Dunn after the race. “I think we had the best car here so we had to gamble to get out front in the clean air. I’d rather wreck on the first lap than run out of gas and leading on the last lap.”
Sunday was a new day for Dunn, looking to put Saturday’s disappointing finish behind them. They started the NAPA 200 from the 16th starting position and were hoping that a good pit stop and a solid strategy would get them a solid finish in the event. By lap 30, Dunn was holding steady in the 14th position, patiently waiting to make his move. With 60 laps into the event, Dunn had cracked the top 10 for the first time, and would soon be making a pit stop for fuel and a tire change. Strategy would be the key, with DIRTcar implementing a new rule that caution laps would not count over the final 25 laps, so teams would have to gamble and take that into consideration when making their pit stop. Almost the entire field, including Dunn came to pit road after a caution on lap 82. While most teams opted to go the distance from their, Dunn decided to come back to pit road once again at lap 167 for more fuel and a tire change to a softer compound for the final 33 laps of the race. This move proved to be pivotal in the outcome. When they went back to green on lap 167, Dunn restarted from the 18th position, but with many teams trying to conserve fuel to last to the finish of the race, Dunn made quick work of getting back up through the field. A total of three cautions and a red flag played right into Dunn’s favor The final caution came on lap 191, and Dunn was in the fifth position for the restart. When the race resumed, Dunn quickly moved to fourth, and watched the three cars ahead of him run out of fuel in the closing laps. By lap 197 Billy was well in command, and cruised to the biggest win of his career by more than 8 seconds over the second place car.
“Our strategy played out almost 100 percent – almost by the lap we wanted to pit both times,” said Dunn, who was just three months old when his parents brought him to NAPA Super DIRT Week for the first time in 1984. “I’ve been coming here since I was a kid and dreaming of this, it is awesome. Every one of my heroes has won this race and now I’m on that list with them. It’s pretty special. This is definitely the greatest day in my racing career. I’ll never forget this. I really have to thank the entire Number One Speed team for all their help this weekend”.
There is still plenty of racing left this season for Dunn, beginning this weekend at Brockville Speedway for the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals this Sunday. The following weekend Dunn will be at Orange County Speedway in Middletown, New York for Eastern States Weekend, followed by the World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on November 7-9th.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. He would also like to thank Laurent Ladouceur and the Mr. Radiator Race team for the opportunity to race their 358 Modified at Mohawk Raceway on Friday nights.

Billy Dunn Battles to Second Place Finish in Super DIRTcar Series Event at Mohawk International Raceway; Seeking First Career Series Victory
With the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series and the 358 Modified Series both visiting Mohawk International Raceway this weekend, Billy Dunn was hoping the home track advantage would pay off. Dunn is the two-time defending track champion at Mohawk Raceway, and had an incredible season in 2013 with six feature wins. Dunn was in his own Number One Speed sponsored Big Block on Saturday night, and was back in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car on Sunday afternoon, after the DIRTcar 358 Series was postponed from its original Friday night date.
Saturday night’s event at Mohawk International Raceway started out with the usual time trials to determine heat race lineups. Dunn posted the fastest speed in his group, and was second fastest overall out of the 42 cars signed into the pit area. Dunn would start up front in his qualifying heat race, and cruised to victory, earning a spot in the redraw for a top 12 starting position in the 100 lap main event. After selecting the ninth position, Dunn made some final adjustments to his car before hitting the track for the main event. It didn’t take Dunn long to storm through the field, just as he had done on many occasions throughout the season. The first caution of the event came on lap 19, and Billy was already up to second place. As the race resumed, Dunn began to challenge for the lead, and took over the top spot as they completed lap 24. Dunn continued to lead until lap 57, but continued to battle back, and regained the top spot with 71 laps complete. Dunn looked poised for his first career Super DIRTcar Series victory after exchanging the lead once again, but lapped traffic played a role in the final outcome, as Dunn crossed the line in second place.
"It was good racing with Matt”, says Dunn after the race. "The line of the track changed three or four times during the race, and lapped traffic was a little tough to get by. It was good racing, he just got the right break at the end”.
Dunn also participated in the 358 Modified Series event that was held on Sunday afternoon, finishing out the season with the Laurent Ladouceur owned ride. Like the previous day, Dunn was the fastest car in his time trial group and second fastest overall, earning him a front row starting spot for the qualifying heat race. Dunn picked up the heat race victory as well, and once again made the redraw for a top 12 starting position. Dunn randomly selected position number eight, and lined up on the outside of row four for the 75 lap main event. It was a struggle early, as the one lane track made it very tough to gain any ground at all. Dunn would exit the race early and was unable to finish.
Dunn will now have a few weeks to prepare for the biggest show of the season with the annual Super DIRT Week events scheduled for October 8th to 13th at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse. The conclusion of the Stars & Stripes 100 at Rolling Wheels Raceway in Elbridge, New York will also take place to open this year’s Super DIRT Week events, as the race was halted after just a few laps due to rain on September 1st. That race will resume at lap 25 with Dunn running in the fifth position.

Billy Dunn Claims Second Consecutive Mohawk Raceway Championship and Frenchie’s 358 Modified Championship With Dominating Performance
This past weekend was on of epic proportions for Billy Dunn. He was very much in championship contention at both Mohawk Raceway and Canandaigua Motorsports Park and was looking to capture his second straight track championship at MIR and his first ever title at Canandaigua.
Going into Friday night’s events at Mohawk Raceway, Dunn carried a 19 point advantage in the battle for the track title. After a win in his qualifying heat race, Dunn added a couple more points to his advantage. In the 50 lap main event, Dunn rolled off the starting grid from the 12th position and quickly moved forward. The first caution of the race came on lap four and Dunn had already maneuvered his Laurent Ladouceur owned car to the sixth position. Just a few laps later he was up to second, and he charged to the top spot as they completed lap 14. For the remainder of the event Dunn set a blistering pace, lapping up to the eighth place car before a late race caution regrouped the field with just five laps remaining. When the race resumed, Dunn was never challenged, and went on to win for the seventh time in 2013 at Mohawk Raceway.
“It has been a lot of fun driving for Laurent Ladouceur and the Mr. Rad team”, says Dunn from victory lane at MIR. “We have had a great season, and I look forward to returning one more time in 2013 for the 358 Series race”.
After securing his championships at Mohawk Raceway, Dunn’s attention soon switched to the battle at Canandaigua Motorsports Park in his own Number One Speed sponsored Big Block Modified. With just 5 points to make up, and double points on the line, it was going to close battle all night long. Dunn scored a top five finish in the 35 lap feature, but came up just a few points short in the battle for the track title.
The action continued on Sunday for the Stars & Stripes 100 at Rolling Wheels Raceway. This was the next round on the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series. Dunn won his qualifying heat race and was running inside the top five when rain came on lap 24, postponing the remaining 76 laps until, Tuesday, October 8th, kickoff Super DIRT Week.
This coming weekend, Dunn will be at Autodrome Drummond in Quebec for the next Super DIRTcar Series event on Saturday night. Billy is currently 4th overall in the Super DIRTcar Series point standings.

Billy Dunn Set to Battle for Multiple Championships Heading into Final Weekend of Regular Season at Mohawk Raceway and Canandaigua
The grueling season long schedule and the fierce battles along the way will all come to fruition as Billy Dunn and his race teams eye multiple championships this weekend. On Friday night, Dunn will be looking for his second consecutive title at Mohawk Raceway, and a strong run could also see him repeat at the Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” Series champion as well. On Saturday night, Dunn will go into the night looking to secure his first ever Big Block Modified track championship at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.
Despite his seventh place finish at Mohawk Raceway, Billy Dunn still holds a 19 point lead going into the final points night on Friday. Unofficially, a sixth place finish would secure the 2013 title, regardless of heat race finish. The battle for the Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” Series is very close, with only 21 points separating the first five cars, with Dunn holding a slim seven point lead over second place.
At Canandaigua Motorsports Park, Dunn is once again locked in a fierce battle for the track title. He entered this past week with a lead of just a few points, and even with a third place finish, Dunn lost a few points and now sits second overall coming down to Saturday night’s finale. Just five points separate Dunn and the point leader, and to add with double points on the line Saturday night, the championship could very well be decided on the final laps of the race.
In addition to championship night at Mohawk Raceway and Canandaigua Motorsports Park, Dunn will also be in action on Sunday at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park for the ‘Stars & Stripes 100’ Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series race.

Billy Dunn on Top of Point Standings at Mohawk International Raceway and Canandaigua With Just Two Weeks Remaining in 2013 Regular Season
The 2012 season was a breakthrough season for Billy Dunn and his Number One Speed race team. They established themselves as legitimate contenders each week at Canandaigua Motorsports Park, arguably one of the toughest tracks with the toughest field of cars on the circuit. Dunn also won multiple features as well as the 358 Modified track title and Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” championships at Mohawk Raceway. Just a year later, Dunn continues to run as strong as ever, on the verge of repeating his Mohawk championships, and with just two events remaining in a star studded Canandaigua lineup, he currently sits at the top of the point standings there as well.
At Mohawk Raceway on Friday night, Dunn finished third in his qualifying heat race and returned to the track later in the night for the 25 lap main event starting from 15th. It didn’t take Billy long to storm through the field, sitting in fourth place after just ten laps. By lap 15 he as up to third place, and just five laps later he was in second and began chasing down the race leader. Dunn took over the top spot on lap 22 and after a quick caution with just one lap remaining he held on for his sixth feature win of the season at Mohawk Raceway.
“The car was awesome again tonight”, says Dunn after the race. “I really have to thank Laurent Ladouceur and his team for allowing us to drive this car each week. It is just one of those deals where everything is working well, and hopefully that will continue”.
Dunn has had a great season at Canandaigua Motorsports Park as well, and he entered the night second place overall in the championship point standings by just 22 points. After finishing third in the qualifier, Billy made some adjustments to the car before lining up for the night’s 35 lap main event. He started from 18th, and quickly stormed through the field, making the top ten by lap eight. With 23 laps in the books Billy had found his way inside the top five and continued to move forward over the final dozen laps to finish with a solid third place effort. Issues with the current point leader going into the night now puts Dunn on the top of the standings by seven points with just two weeks remaining.
Dunn will be back at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night, and Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday. The next race in the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series will be on Sunday, September 1st at Rolling Wheels Raceway for the Stars and Stripes 100. Billy is currently third in points in the Super DIRTcar Series.

Billy Dunn Gets Second Place Finish at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday Night; Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series Resumes on Thursday Night at Lebanon Valley Speedway
After a very busy week last week following the Super DIRTcar Series, Billy Dunn had a much lighter schedule this weekend, as Mohawk International Raceway was closed on Friday night for their local county fair. Dunn did race at Canandaigua Motorsports on Saturday night, and he was looking to gain some valuable points with championship night coming up in just a few short weeks.
Billy entered the night at Canandaigua with a 33 point deficit in the battle for the 2013 track title. He started his qualifying heat race from the eighth position and worked his way to fourth in the eight lap event. In the 35 lap main event, he rolled off the starting grid from the 18th starting position and struggled early in the event. By lap 24 he finally made his way into the top ten and he stormed through the field over the final 11 circuits. By lap 29 he was up to third place and moved into second just two laps later and was reeling in the race leader when they crossed the finish line.
“The car really came to life over the last few laps”, says Dunn after the race. “We really couldn’t make any progress at all during the opening laps. “It was a good run, but we needed just a little more time to get to the leader”.
Coming up this week, Dunn will travel to Lebanon Valley Speedway on Thursday night for the next round of the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series as they host the annual Mr. DIRT Track USA event paying $17,500 to win. He will return to Mohawk Raceway on Friday night after a rare weekend off, and will be at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night looking to get back to victory lane and continue to gain some valuable points in the chase for the championship. He currently leads the standing at Mohawk Raceway by 14 points, and trails by just 23 points at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn Gets Third Canandaigua Victory of the Season; Super DIRTcar Series Races at Merrittville and I-96 End With Mixed Results
With regular events at Mohawk Raceway and Canandaigua Motorsports Park, followed by Super DIRTcar Series races at Merrittville Speedway and I-96 Speedway it was certainly a busy week for Billy Dunn and his team. Dunn is in a battle for the track championship at both Mohawk and Canandaigua and is in the midst of his best season ever on the Super DIRTcar Series tour.
The week started off with the usual trip to Mohawk International Raceway in Hogansburg, New York driving for Laurent Ladouceur. Dunn went into the night with three consecutive MIR feature wins to his credit and was looking to keep that going for another week. After winning his qualifying heat race, Dunn was ready to hit the track for the 25 lap main event. He rolled off the starting grid from the tenth position and quickly moved forward. Before the race reached the halfway distance, Dunn was into the top five. He moved up to fourth just a couple laps later and after a great battle for the third position over the last several laps, Dunn grabbed that position on the final lap of the race.
Billy was back in his own Big Block Modified at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night looking to gain some points in the battle for the coveted track championship. After a third place finish in his qualifier, Dunn returned to the pit area to make some changes on his Number One Speed sponsored car. He started 12th in the 35 lap main event, and made steady progress working his way up through the field. As the race reached the halfway mark, Dunn made his way into the top five, and continued to move forward. By lap 17, he was up to third place, and just five laps later he took over the lead with a pass on the bottom lane of the track. Dunn led the remaining 13 laps of the race and captured his third Canandaigua Motorsports victory of the year and eighth win overall this season.
“This sure feels good. After the trouble we had a couple of weeks ago when we wrecked, it was nice to get the win tonight”, says Dunn from victory lane. “The car was awesome. We won here about a month ago, but the car had been off since then. I hope that this will put a jump in our step”.
Dunn’s busy week continued on Monday with a trip to Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario for the next round of the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series. The night did not go as planned for Dunn, battling some mechanical issues throughout the night. He started the 100 lap feature by taking a provisional and lined up from the 32nd and final starting position on the grid. Unable to make much progress, Dunn crossed the finished line with a disappointing 23rd place finish.
On Tuesday night, the Super DIRTcar Series made its second appearance at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Dunn finished third in the inaugural race last year, and was hoping to better that this time around. Still looking for his first career Super DIRTcar Series victory, Dunn won his qualifying heat race after setting fast time in his time trial group, and selected a ninth place starting position in the random redraw to determine the top 12 starting positions for the 100 lap main event. Billy moved up quickly and by then end of the race he was challenging for second place. He crossed the finish line with a solid third place effort, and is currently fifth in points in the Super DIRTcar Series point standings.
Coming up this weekend, Dunn will have a rare Friday night off, as Mohawk International Raceway is closed for the week. He will be at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night looking to win back to back features and gain some valuable points in the chase for the championship. He currently leads the standing at Mohawk Raceway by 14 points, and trails by just 33 points at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

Billy Dunn Scores Third Consecutive Mohawk International Raceway Feature Win on Friday Night
After a busy couple weeks running his regular weekly tracks as well as Super DIRTcar Series events, Dunn had a rather quiet weekend with just one event on the schedule. He was back at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night, coming off two straight feature wins in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car. Canandaigua Motorsports Park had the weekend off due to the annual Ontario County Fair.
After starting fourth in his qualifying heat race, Dunn quickly charged forward, taking the lead before they completed lap one and cruised to victory in the 10 lap race. In the 25 lap main event, Billy started from the fifth position and once again proved that he had the fastest car, taking the lead on lap seven. Over the next several laps, Billy built up a sizeable advantage and weaved his way through lapped traffic with ease. He crossed the finish line with more then a straightaway between himself and the second place car.
“This car is really working well at Mohawk”, says Dunn from victory lane after his third consecutive victory. “I really have to thank the Ladouceur team for allowing me to drive their car each week”.
This coming week, Dunn will return to Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night driving the Laurent Ladouceur owned 23 car. On Saturday he will be back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park before getting back to Super DIRTcar Series racing at Merrittville Speedway in Thorold, Ontario Canada on Monday, August 5th, and I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan on Tuesday, August 6th. Dunn finished third at I-96 Speedway in the inaugural event last year.

Billy Dunn’s Weekend Highlighted by 2nd Place Finish in Super DIRTcar Series Race at Autodrome Drummond on Monday Night
Another busy weekend of racing was on tap for Billy Dunn this week with regular weekly events scheduled at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car, and back in the Number One Speed sponsored Big Block Modified at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night. On Sunday, the team prepared the car for a Monday and Tuesday Super DIRTcar Series swing through the Canadian province of Quebec at Autodrome Drummond and Autodrome Granby.
It wasn’t long after making the trek to Mohawk Raceway that the dark clouds began to surround the track, and officials had no choice but to cancel the events.
Dunn returned home, and the attention quickly shifted to Saturday night’s races at Canandaigua Motorsports Park. After a fourth place finish in the qualifier, Dunn started the 35 lap main event from near the tail of the field. It was a tough night for Dunn, as he crossed the finish line with a disappointing 16th place result.
Autodrome Drummond was up next, and Billy posted the third fastest time in his group, placing him third to start his heat race. Dunn was strong from the beginning and captured the win, earning a spot in the all-important redraw for a top 12 starting spot for the 100 lap feature. He started from the ninth position, and steadily moved forward. It wasn’t long before he was battling for a top five position and by lap 71 he was up to third place and gained one more position to take second as they completed lap 77. A problem developed with the race leader, and Dunn inherited the lead and help the top spot until lap 85. Dunn crossed the finish line with his second consecutive second place finish on the Super DIRTcar Series.
"We thought we had something for him, but Dale just got really good at the end," Dunn said. "We had a second place car, and we came home in one piece - a lot of guys didn`t tonight - so we`ll get it ready for tomorrow."
Dunn and the rest of the team moved on the Autodrome Granby for Tuesday night’s Super DIRTcar Series events. Dunn was second in his time trial group, and battled to a third place finish in his qualifier, once again making the redraw for a top 12 starting spot in the 100 lap feature event. He started from the eighth position and had moved up to as high as sixth place at one point, but as the race progressed, the handling seemed to go away and he crossed the finish line with an 11th place result.
Dunn will be back in action at Mohawk International Raceway once again this Friday night, as well as Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night. The next race in the Super DIRTcar Series comes on Monday, August 5th at Merrittville Speedway.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn Wins at Mohawk Raceway for Fourth Time in 2013; Strong Second Place Finish at Albany Saratoga Speedway in DIRTcar Series Race
It was a busy week for Billy Dunn this week, starting off with a rare Tuesday night event at Albany Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York for the Brett Hearn promoted event labeled “The Big Show 5”. This race was part of the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series. On Friday night, Dunn returned to the Laurent Ladouceur owned car at Mohawk International Raceway, before getting back in his own car at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday.
Dunn had a great night at Albany-Saratoga Speedway on Tuesday for the Super DIRTcar Series event. He just missed a redraw position in his qualifier, but locked himself into the 14th starting position for the 100 lap main event. After patiently waiting to make his move in the first 20 laps of the race, Dunn found his mark, and stormed through the field. By lap 70, Dunn was up to third place, and just 10 laps later he was in second, and started to mount a challenge for the lead. By lap 84, Dunn had caught up to the race leader and the challenge was on as they carved their way through lapped traffic. An untimely caution on lap 85 brought the field together after 50 consecutive green flag laps, breaking Billy’s momentum, and when the race resumed, he was unable to make a serious challenge for the top spot. Dunn crossed the finish line with an impressive second place result.
“We were patient the first 15 or 20 laps, and then really found our groove in the next 40 or 50”, explains Dunn after the race. “We started working on the bottom and picking cars off in traffic. I didn't really need that last caution. I think he was coming to me a little bit in traffic”.
Mohawk International Raceway was up next on Friday night, as Dunn was back in the potent Laurent Ladouceur ride once again. After winning his qualifying heat race, Billy rolled off the starting grid from the ninth position in the 25 lap main event. By lap 10, Dunn had worked his way to second place, and was catching the leader before the caution came out on lap 15. Once the race resumed, Dunn continued his charge to the front, and took over the lead on lap 17 and cruised to his fourth win of the season in six races this season at the track, and regained the lead in the battle for the Mohawk Raceway track championship.
Dunn was back in his own ride at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night, and struggled to fifth place finish in his qualifying heat race. After making some adjustments to the car, he rolled off the starting grid for the feature from deep in the field, and charged to a sixth place finish.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn Continues to Lead the Way at Mohawk International Raceway With 50 Lap Frenchie’s Series Feature Win; 7th Place Finish at Canandaigua
After getting rained out last week at both Mohawk Raceway and Cornwall Speedway, Dunn was ready to return to the regular weekly program this past week. Mohawk International Raceway was the plan for Friday night in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car, while Saturday night was a return to Canandaigua Motorsports Park with his own Number One Speed Big Block Modified.
Friday night’s race was a 50 lap Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” Series race. Dunn is the defending series champion and also one the first round of the series last month. He started the night with a third place finish in his qualifying heat race, and made the redraw for a top 12 starting spot for the main event. The redraw took place in front of the main grandstand during intermission, and by luck of the draw, Dunn selected the number one position. At the drop of the green flag, Dunn checked out on the field and had built up a half track lead before by lap 15. Dunn continued his big lead through lap 24 as he diced his way around the heavy lapped traffic. The caution came out just prior to the halfway point of the race, and the field regrouped for the restart. When the race went back to green, Dunn lost the lead on the restart, and continued in second place until they reached lapped traffic 10 laps later and Dunn made a great move to get the lead back. Dunn continued to lead the final laps of the race to claim his second Frenchie’s Series win of the season and third overall at Mohawk Raceway.
“We really had to work hard for this one”, says Dunn in victory lane. “We got that big lead early, but after the restart the car wasn’t quite as strong. We battled back though and got the lead back in lapped traffic”.
Dunn made the usual visit to Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night in his own Number One Speed sponsored car. He finished second in his qualifying heat race, and optimism was high going into the 35 lap main event. When the dust settled at the end of the night, Dunn was in seventh place. He remains in second place in track points and sits just 22 points out of the lead in the battle for the coveted Canandaigua Motorsports Park Big Block Modified track championship.
Dunn will be back in action tomorrow evening for the next round of the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series at Albany-Saratoga Speedway in Malta, New York. He will be return to Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car and Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn Battles Mother Nature and Bad Luck During Busy Weekend
After having mixed results the previous weekend with a broken drive shaft at Mohawk Raceway and win at Canandaigua, Billy was ready to get back to the track looking continue his phenomenal season. He had a busy weekend planned with events at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night, Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night and Cornwall Speedway on Sunday and Monday for 100 lap DIRTcar Series events.
With rain developing late Thursday and lasting throughout the entire day on Friday, it soon became evident that Mohawk Raceway would have no choice but to cancel the night’s events. Canandaigua was up next, and as much as track officials tried to get the track ready to race, they too lost out to Mother Nature.
The action finally shifted to Cornwall Speedway on Sunday night for the 100 lap Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series race. Dunn was the second fastest qualifier in his time trial group and backed that up with a second place result in his heat race, making the all important redraw for a top 12 starting spot in the 100 lap main event. Billy rolled off the starting grid from the third position and quickly moved to second before they had completed lap three. The first caution of the race slowed the field on lap five and Billy charged to the lead shortly after the restart and appeared well in command of the Super DIRTcar Series race. After working his way around lapped traffic, Dunn had built up a healthy advantage, but with 65 laps in the books, he started to lose power steering and just a few laps later he was done for the night.
Dunn brought out his Number One Speed sponsored 358 Modified out on Monday night for the 358 Modified series race at Cornwall. The bad luck from the previous night continued and after starting the 100 lap feature from the rear of the field he was caught up in a lap 2 crash that put him out for the night.
The 358 Modified DIRTcar Series resumes this Wednesday night at Ransomville Speedway. Dunn will then return to Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car. On Saturday night they will return to Canandaigua Motorsports Park looking to capture the points lead for the first time in his career at Canandaigua.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn Suffers Rare Mechanical Failure at Mohawk Raceway; Rebounds With a Win and Second Place Finish in Twin 25 Features at Canandaigua
It was a busy week for Billy Dunn and his team, as the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series resumed on Wednesday night at New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey. From there, Dunn was back in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car at Mohawk Raceway followed by the usual visit to Canandaigua Motorsports Park in the Number One Speed Bicknell.
It was a tough night at New Egypt for Dunn, having to use a provisional starting spot for the 60 lap main event. Although it was a struggle, Dunn salvaged a 16th place finish.
On Friday night at Mohawk Raceway, Dunn was once again one of the fastest cars. In his heat race, he finished fourth, moving up from his sixth place starting spot. After making some adjustments on the car, he lined up from the 10th position for the 25 lap main event. He began to move forward early, but just four laps into the race, the drive shaft broke on the car, and he was done for the evening.
Canandaigua Motorsports Park was on the team’s schedule for Saturday night. They were hosting twin 25 lap features in recognition of the 50th Anniversary season at the legendary track. Dunn started his qualifying heat race from the seventh position, and was able to move up to fourth place at the finish. In the first 25 lap feature, Dunn started from 15th place and quickly moved forward at the drop of the green flag. After just eight laps Billy was inside the top ten and over the next few laps he charged through the field to get into second by lap 14. Dunn was unable to gain on the leader of the final 11 laps, and crossed the line in second place. In the second 25 lap feature of the night, Dunn started from seventh place and moved forward quickly. He took the lead on a lap 11 restart and never looked back, claiming his second Canandaigua Motorsports Park feature win of the season.
“It was a good night for this race team,” Dunn admitted afterwards. “To be honest, we were able to watch Matt in the first race and what lane he ran and make the changes necessary to win. I’m hoping that we can keep this going.”

Billy Dunn Gets Second Consecutive Mohawk International Raceway Feature Win; Strong Second Place Performance at Canandaigua Speedway
After getting rained out last weekend at both Mohawk International Raceway and Canandaigua Motorsports Park, Billy Dunn was looking forward to getting back on the track this weekend and continue his strong start to the 2013 season. Going into this weekend, Dunn had posted top 10 finishes in every main event he has entered this season, including a feature win at both weekly tracks.
Dunn started the night off at Mohawk just as he left off the previous race at the track, dominating his ten lap qualifying heat race. In the 25 lap feature, Dunn started from the 15th position, and moved forward quickly. By lap seven, he was well inside the top ten in eighth place and continued to charge forward. At the halfway point, Dunn had made his way to fourth place, and clearly had one of the fastest cars on the track. With ten laps remaining and under caution, Dunn was in third place and quickly moved to second on the restart and began his pursuit of the race leader. Over the next few laps, Dunn patiently waited for an opportunity to strike, and as they completed lap 22, Dunn was in the lead. The final three laps were intense, battling lapped traffic throughout the remaining distance, but Billy remained out front, scoring his second straight Mohawk Raceway victory.
“I really have to thank Laurent (Ladouceur) and the team for the opportunity to drive for him each week here at Mohawk”, says Dunn from victory lane. “We have really run well since we started doing this last year, and it has been a lot of fun”.
Dunn and the Number One Speed race team traveled to Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night for their weekly visit. After finishing fourth in their qualifying heat race, Dunn made a few adjustments to the car in preparation for the 35 lap main event. By virtue of being second place in track points, Dunn would have to start from deep in the field, but made steady progress throughout the race. At the checkered flag, Billy was in second place, and now sits just 12 points out of the lead in the chase for the coveted Canandaigua Motorsports Park track championship.
This coming week will be a busy week for Dunn as he travels to New Egypt Speedway in New Jersey for the highly anticipated Dirty Jersey 60 Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series on Tuesday night. He will return to Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night, followed by the usual visit to Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday.

Billy Dunn Scores Memorial Cup Win at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday Night; Impressive Third Place Finish at Canandaigua on Saturday
It has been a fantastic start to the 2013 season for Billy Dunn and he was looking to keep that momentum going this past weekend with a 50 lap Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” 358 Modified Series race at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night followed by the usually Saturday night trip with his Number One Speed Big Block car at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.
After starting fourth in his qualifying heat race at Mohawk Raceway, Dunn moved forward at the drop of the green flag and battled to a second place finish, earning a spot in the redraw for a top 12 starting spot for the 50 lap Memorial Cup/Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” 358 Modified Series main event. The random dry was held, and Dunn picked the 12th starting spot and lined up on the outside of the sixth row to start the main event. The first caution of the race came on lap six, and Dunn had moved up to sixth place, and was inside the top five once the race resumed. After two laps of green flag racing the caution was back out once again, and by now Billy was in the fourth position. When the race resumed, Dunn found him self in a great battle for the top spot with three other cars, and took over the top spot as they completed lap 15. Just three laps later the final caution of the night was out, and Dunn was at the top of the leader board. The final 32 laps of the race went caution free, and Dunn pulled out to an enormous lead over the rest of the field, lapping up to the fifth place car and had more than a half-track advantage over the second place car.
“I always enjoy racing here at Mohawk Raceway, and I can’t thank Laurent Ladouceur and his team enough for hiring me to drive their cars”, says Dunn from Victory Lane. “This car was strong all night, and the car just took off on that last restart and we were able to get a good lead”.
Canandaigua Motorsports Park was up next on Saturday night, and Dunn started the night off with a win in his qualifying heat race after starting from the fifth position. After a few minor adjustments to the car to keep up with the changing track conditions, Dunn was ready for the 35 lap main event. He started from the 13th position and climbed inside the top ten after just four laps. It wasn’t much longer and Dunn was battling for a top five position, and secured that spot before they had completed the 10th lap of the race. Dunn continued to move forward, and finished the race in third place. The finish marks Dunn’s seventh consecutive top ten finish of the season at the track, and fifth top five and moves him up to second in the track point standings.
This coming week Dunn will be at Rolling Wheels Raceway on Wednesday night for the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series. The Modifieds have the night off from Mohawk Raceway on Friday night, so the team will return to action on Saturday night back at Canandaigua.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn’s Great Start to 2013 Season Continues With Top Five Finish at Canandaigua Motorsports Park; Mohawk International Raceway Rained Out
Many would say that 2012 was a breakout year for Billy Dunn and his Number One Speed team. The Watertown, New York racer has started the 2013 season even stronger with top ten finishes in every event entered so far, including six at the ultra-competitive Canandaigua track. That also includes four top five finishes and a feature win.
It was a bit of a struggle early in the night for Dunn, having to qualify through the last chance consolation race. He finished second, easily transferring into the night’s 35 lap main event. He would have to start from deep in the field, lining up on the inside of row 10 in the 19th starting position. At the drop of the green flag, Dunn moved forward at will, moving into the ten after just 12 laps. Billy continued to move forward, and with 10 laps remaining he was in seventh place, and looking strong. With just two laps remaining, he cracked the top five, and finished with a very solid fifth place finish.
“We struggled early in the qualifying heat race and really had to dig in and work our way up from the back of the pack”, says Dunn. “It was another strong race for us, and hopefully we can continue this roll that we have been on lately, and get back to victory lane”.
Billy is the reigning champion of the Frenchie’s “Chevy Runs Deep” Modified Series at Mohawk International Raceway, and after round one of the 2013 Series was rained out this past week, they will try again this coming Friday night as Dunn gets back behind the wheel of the Laurent Ladouceur owned car. On Saturday night he will be at Canandaigua Motorsports Park, looking to return to victory lane and inch closer to point lead. He is currently third in track points, just a few points out of the lead.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Dunn Has Great Weekend With a Second Place Finish at Mohawk Opener and Fourth at Canandaigua; Top 10 Finish at 358 Series Race at Merrittville
Billy Dunn and his team already have several weeks of racing in to start the 2013 season, some tracks had yet to open up. The season was about to swing into high gear this past weekend though, as Mohawk Raceway opened up on Friday night, and Dunn was returning to defend his championship that he earned in 2012. As the busy weekend continued, Dunn was back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday night, and had back to back Mr. DIRTcar 358 Modified Series races at Cornwall Speedway and Merrittville Speedway on Sunday and Monday.
The weekend started at Mohawk International Raceway on Friday night. Dunn was back behind the wheel of the Laurent Ladouceur owned car. He started second in the qualifying heat race, and maintained that position throughout the 10 lap race. In the 25 lap main event, Billy started from the outside of the second row in the fourth position, and by lap five he was up to third. Just a couple laps later he was up to second and set his sites on the leader. Over the duration of the race, Dunn maintained that second, but heavy lapped traffic made for an exciting finish, as Dunn caught the leader and nearly took the lead.
On Saturday night, Dunn was back to Canandaigua Motorsports Park. He struggled in his qualifying heat race, and was forced to the last chance consolation race. A fourth place finish locked him into the 35 lap main event, but he would be marred deep in the field to start the race. He patiently worked his way forward, and by lap 26 he had made steady progress, sitting in the 10th position. Just five laps later he was inside the top five, and gained one more position over the final couple circuits to finish in fourth.
Sunday was the start of a two day trip north of the border with Mr. DIRTcar 358 Modified series races. The first stop was Cornwall Motor Speedway. Not long after arriving at the track, the skies opened up, and the series race was postponed until Sunday, August 4th. From Cornwall, Dunn traveled to Merrittville Speedway, and started the night with a fourth place finish in his qualifying heat race, locking into the 100 lap main event. He would start from the 15th starting position. By the end of the night, Dunn had moved forward, posting a solid ninth place finish.
This coming weekend, Dunn will return to Mohawk International Raceway driving the Laurent Ladouceur owned car, and will be back in his Big Block Modified on Saturday night at Canandaigua Motorsports Park.

Billy Dunn Continues Strong Start With Another Top Ten Finish At Canandaigua; Mohawk Raceway Opener Set for This Friday Night
Fresh of his feature win at Canandaigua Motorsports Park last weekend, Billy Dunn and his team were looking forward to returning to the track and going for back to back wins. Their second place position in the track point standings after the first month of the season has them feeling confident about their season so far, and hoped to back that up with another solid run.
Due to the handicapping system that most tracks use, Dunn would have to start from near the rear of the field in his qualifying heat race. He was able to battle his way to a fifth place finish in the preliminary qualifying heat race. In the 35 lap main event, Dunn would fire from the 18th starting spot and by lap eight he had worked his way into the top 15 and was inside the top ten just five laps later. Over the final 20 laps, Dunn Moved up two more positions, and ended the night with a solid eighth place result and is now third in track points, just four points back of second place.
“The car was ok, just a little bit off from where we need to be though”, says Dunn. “We will keep working at it, and hopefully we can be a little better next week”.
This coming weekend, Billy will return to the Laurent Ladouceur owned 358 Modified on Friday night set to defend his track championship at Mohawk International Raceway. On Saturday night, he will be back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park looking to return to victory lane. The first Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series event is Wednesday, June 5th at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.
Billy Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes Auto Machine, Glen A. Gould Estate Construction, Frosty’s Ice Cream, and Bicknell Racing Products for their continued support for the 2013 racing season.

Billy Dunn Gets First Win of the 2013 Racing Season at Canandaigua Motorsports Park; Moves to Second Place in Track Point Standings
With summer weather upon us, Billy Dunn and his Number One Speed team traveled back to Canandaigua Motorsports Park last Saturday night, looking to build on their strong start to the 2013 season. In the previous two races, Dunn finished inside the top six, and was hoping to continue that consistency heading into the night’s events.
After a win in his qualifying heat race, Dunn started the 35 lap feature event from the inside of the second row in the third position. He battled for the top spot early, but settled in to second, waiting patiently for an opportunity to take the lead. Using lapped traffic to his advantage, Dunn was able to take over the lead by lap 20 and never looked back, grabbing his first win of the 2013 racing season. Dunn moves to second place in the track point standings, only nine points out of the lead.
“That was a lot of fun”, claims Billy Dunn from Canandaigua Motorsports Park victory lane. “When I was racing Vince (Vitale) for the lead, I got up to him and showed him my nose. He must have seen that because he then moved away from me”.
This coming weekend, Billy will be back at Canandaigua Motorsports Park once again on Saturday night looking for back to back feature wins. Dunn’s first race in the 358 car will be at Mohawk Raceway on Friday, May 17th in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car. The first Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar Series event is Wednesday, June 5th at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.

Billy Dunn Grabs Sixth Place Finish at Canandaigua on Saturday Night; Rare Sprint Car Start Ends Early at Can Am With Engine Troubles
After back to back rainouts, it was almost like opening night all over again for Billy Dunn and his Number One Speed race team as they traveled back to Canandaigua Motorsports Park for the second race of the 2013 season. Dunn had a strong fifth place finish on opening night earlier this month, and was hoping to put together another strong run to close out the month of April.
After a second place finish in his qualifying heat race, Dunn was ready for the 35 lap main event. He rolled off the starting grid from outside of row four in the eighth position, and patiently bided his time through the opening laps of the race. As the dust settled, Dunn crossed the finish line in sixth place, and after 2 events he is currently fifth in track points, only 17 points behind the leader.
“We have started off the season pretty well”, says Dunn. “It is still really early in the season, but we have been able to get a couple solid runs to start the season and hopefully we can build on that and get back to victory lane real soon”.
Dunn was back behind the wheel of a Sprint Car on Saturday night at Can Am Motorsports Park with the Empire Super Sprints. It was the first time in over a year that he was back in sprint car. His night ended prematurely with a blown motor. Dunn hopes to compete in a handful of Sprint Car events this season.
This coming weekend, Billy will be back in action at Canandaigua Motorsports Park once again on Saturday night looking for the first win of the season and continue his strong start to the 2013 season. Dunn’s first race in the 358 car will be at Mohawk Raceway on Friday, May 17th in the Laurent Ladouceur owned car. Billy Dunn Scores Top Five Finish in Season Opener at Canandaigua Motorsports Park on Saturday Night in Jan Corcoran Memorial
It
was a cold weekend at Canandaigua Motorsports Park, but that didn’t stop Billy
Dunn and the rest of the Big Block Modified competitors from putting on a
fantastic show to start off the 2013 season.
Dunn traveled to Canandaigua on Friday for some practice laps, before
starting the season on Saturday for the 3rd annual Jan Corcoran
Memorial.
Dunn
was 11th fastest out of 22 cars in the first practice session on
Friday night and improved to fourth place overall in the second session. He started his qualifying heat from 7th
place on Saturday, and battled his way up to fourth, qualifying into the 64 lap
main event. Dunn would roll off the
starting grid from the 17th position and patiently moved through the
field in the opening laps. Dunn made
his way into the top ten just prior to the halfway point of the race, and
continued to work his way forward, using the outside lane around the fast
Canandaigua half-mile. By lap 40, Dunn
had made his way into the top five, and maintained that fifth place position
throughout the final 24 circuits.
“It
was a solid top five finish for us, and a good way to start the season”, says
Dunn after the race. “It was great to
get back to the track, and get the season underway, and I am looking forward to
coming back here next week and seeing if we can get just a little better”.
Dunn
will return to Canandaigua once again this coming week, looking for his first
win of the 2013 season. He will race at
Canandaigua weekly, and follow the Big Block Modified Super DIRTcar
Series. He will also race on Friday
night’s in the Laurent Ladouceur owned Small Block at Mohawk International
Raceway.
Billy
Dunn would like to thank Number One Speed, FastLube of Watertown, Finger Lakes
